About Me

Hi, I’m Amanda, a counsellor in Victoria, BC. My path to counselling has been anything but linear, and I believe that’s part of what makes me relatable to the people I work with.

I began my career with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business, which led me into the world of IT, where I currently manage a small software company. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how important communication, empathy, and understanding are—whether in the workplace, in relationships, or within ourselves. Those lessons naturally drew me back to my original passion: supporting people in finding connection and meaning in their lives.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years volunteering in mental health, including work on suicide lines and with individuals struggling with eating disorders. These experiences deepened my belief in the power of genuine human connection and the resilience we all carry within us.

I bring this blend of personal, professional, and volunteer experience into my counselling work. I’m particularly interested in relationship dynamics and couples counselling, eating disorders, as well as helping individuals navigate life transitions, anxiety, and self-discovery.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors, playing soccer, watching sports, and spending time with loved ones. I value laughter, curiosity, and authenticity—and I strive to bring those same qualities into the counselling room.
